Belly dance classes are of a mixed ability so they are suitable for the complete beginner as well as those with some experience. You can work at your own pace and level and you can join the class at any time throughout the term.
What to Wear
Please wear loose comfortable clothing that you can move freely in. Egyptian dance usually is performed barefoot but soft dance shoes can also be worn. It is not advisable to dance in socks. If you have your own hip belt or scarf (for your hips), please bring it to class, although I do have a few that can be borrowed for the first few lessons.
Occasionally, the class is invited to perform at charity functions and community festivals. There's no obligation, but if the 'performer within you' wishes to join in these performances you are welcome to do so.
